It’s honestly one of my favorite weeknight recipes to reach for when I need a yummy and quick dinner.

This ground beef pasta recipe has been around on the blog since 2013 — originally published as Not Your Average Noodle Casserole — and it deserves so much more love than it gets! I finally gave it a proper update with new photos a few years ago because this one is too good to stay buried. It’s that kind of easy pasta dish you’ll find yourself making on repeat.

6 Qt Dutch Oven

A dutch oven is one of my favorite kitchen items. It’s great for soups, one pot dishes, browning, and sauteing. It goes easily from stove top to oven.

My kids request this one regularly, and once you try it, you’ll totally understand why.

  1. I have made this several times now. It is delicious! My husband and children always have seconds when I make it! I don’t have a creole blend so I have made my own using what I have on hand: salt, pepper, garlic, cumin, paprika and white pepper. Tonight I used regular rotini noodles and used some of the pasta water to thin the sauce some. 10 outta 10 from my family!
