  • If you aren’t a fan of cream of mushroom, you can try subbing cream of chicken.

Crockpot Sausage & Potatoes

This Crockpot Sausage and Potatoes recipe is an easy slow cooker dinner made with smoky sausage, potatoes, and onions. A simple comfort food meal perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs. smoked pork sausage, sliced
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 2.5 lbs. medium russet potatoes, peeled and chopped
  • 1 10 oz. can cream of mushroom soup
  • 3/4 tsp. creole seasoning

Instructions

  1. Spray crockpot with cooking spray unless you use a liner*
  2. Place all ingredients in crockpot. Stir.
  3. Cook on low for 7 to 8 hours.
  4. *Use a slow cooker liner for easy clean up! You can find these with the plastic storage bags in the grocery store.

  1. Came out delicious, followed recipe and took advice of a couple others. Added little chicken broth, sautéed onions and sausage first, added sour cream. Used pressure cooked and was good to go in less than 1 minutes. So creamy and cheesy’

  2. The recipe was wonderful! I used my Ninja Foodi and sautéed my sausage first then I added a cup of chicken broth in addition to the other ingredients and pressure cooked on high for 5 minutes with a natural release. The frozen hash browns were perfect.

  7. Boy, am I late to the party! I made this last week and my hubby asked me yesterday when I was going to make it again! So off to the grocery I went. I made it exactly as your recipe and it was soooo good! Today I’m fixing it again, but I’m topping it off with some boudin that I had waiting in my freezer. Love me some boudin!

    I first tried this in 2018, and wrote to tell you how much I enjoyed your recipe. Still one of my go-to recipes, and I’ve taken to freezing a few containers of it to have later on. It’s a great lunch or dinner on a cold or rainy day! During the winter, I make it once a month. I’ve told family & friends about this, and just shared the recipe with my auto mechanic!
