We are planning our trip for this summer! I also increased our nights from 4 to 6 when I started researching everything that we wanted to fit in. The cabin hunt is overwhelming, so I’ll check out the one you suggested. We have three kiddos as well stairs are a hot commodity for them too 🤣 Thanks for all the tips!

We did that trip in 2001. We took the Newfound Gap Rd to Cherokee . Back then you could get ride along CDs from the Tenn State Park Service that when driving a set 40 mph would tell you all about the road: history, trees, etc. I do believe now there apps that tell you about the areas you are driving in. Kevin Costner has one called HearHere coming in 2021 where he tells stories about the area history, people, etc.

I live in Knoxville (just a short short drive away from Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg) and always love seeing people travel through and enjoy Tennessee. It’s truly such a beautiful, wonderful state with so much to do both indoors and outdoors. 🙂
