I made these cookies today and they are DELICIOUS! This is a recipe that reminds me of the icebox cookies so frequently made by my grandmother 50+ years ago. Great memories.

In reply to Jaren. really good. At first I wondered why you would not put cinnamon in the dough, but putting cinnamon and sugar on the outside preserves the butter and pecan flavors and adds cinnamon without being overpowering. Very good.

When I was in home economics class (in the 70’s) we made a similar cookie. I have been looking for that recipe. It seems to me the cinnamon was in the batter instead of as a coating. Asking if you think the cookie would taste good with the cinnamon in the batter? Or, maybe with all your recipes you know what recipe I might be thinking about. I remember the teacher saying ‘Funny thing, it is just called refrigerator cookie’. I have been looking for years. Any thoughts?
